Bide with us, for evening shadows darken,

And the day will soon be over, soon be over,

O bide with us, for evening shadows darken.

O say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

The LACC Latin Ensemble, directed by Prof. Kassandra Kocoshis performs La Vida es un Carnaval, as seen at the LACCD Virtual Recognition Ceremony on June 9th, 2020.
