LACC Music Department Scholarships and Awards
Our department awards scholarships during fall and spring semesters to current Music majors who complete the scholarship requirements and submit applications by the deadline. Scholarships are available for a wide variety of categories including academic achievement and musical excellence.
The scholarship recipients are selected by the LACC Music Department Scholarship Committee according to the specific criteria and requirement met for each scholarship. All current LACC Music students are eligible to apply. Information about each scholarship is available on the application.
Applications for Spring 2024 are due Friday, April 19, at 5:00pm.

The Outstanding Honors Performance Award
The LACC Music Academy Outstanding Performance Award recognizes students who perform during our HAMC Honors Scholarship & Award Ceremony. The students audition for the LACC Music Department Scholarship Committee who make their decisions based upon musicianship, technique, stage presence, memorization, and performance skills. LACC Music Academy Outstanding Student Performers will be selected in the areas of all instruments (piano, woodwinds, brass, strings, guitar and percussion), voice, singer/songwriter, media composition, music technology, and composition.
