The Future of LACC
Da Vinci Hall Modernization
The 65,920 square-foot Da Vinci Hall building is home to the Art and Architecture, Art gallery, Journalism, Photography and Ceramics programs. This building features 24 classrooms, an AV classroom with technology upgrades, IT and security upgrades, and ADA Accessibility improvements. Some additional improvements include the installation of a new roof, seismic retrofit, and updates to the building’s fire protection, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Once completed, the renovated of the 1962 building will include new technological features that will contribute to the student’s educational success.
Campus Beautification and Stormwater Management
Five new "rain gardens" are being built throughout the campus. These green spaces not only beautify the campus, they also work to prevent flooding and can filter pollutants out of stormwater.
New Buildings and Expanded Services
Measure CC will be funding the construction of a new Cesar Chavez Administration building, a brand new Theater Arts building and a renovation of part of the Student Union to accommodate food service.
