Application Deadlines

LACC accepts international student applications for Fall and Spring semesters, as well as Summer. LACC divides its academic year into two semesters (Fall and Spring). In addition we provide summer and winter sessions to our students.

Estimated Cost and Fees

The estimated cost of expenses shown below is for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semester, which you must attend as a full-time student (12 units or more enrollment is required). There are also two five-week summer sessions and one five-week winter session that you may attend (optional). Please note that if you result in enrolling in more than 12 units and/or attend summer or winter sessions, there will be additional costs.

Please note that the District's Board of Trustees adopted the non-resident tuition of $359 per unit, effective 2023-2024 year. Combined with the enrollment fee of $46 per unit, non-resident students including the F-1 visa international students will be charged $405 per unit.

Per LACCD Board Rule 2309.30, international students attending a college in the Los Angeles Community College District under an F-1 visa shall be charged a medical insurance fee equal to the cost of medical insurance purchased by the District on the student’s behalf. The current rates are as follows:

  • Fall/Winter (08/15/23) to 01/31/24): $780
  • Spring/Summer (02/01/24 to 08/14/24): $780

Please note that non-resident tuition and other fees are subject to change at any time by the Los Angeles Community College District's Board actions without prior notice.

Housing fees as well as Summer and Winter session fees are not included above. Students that begin their studies in Summer will be required to enroll in a minimum of 3 units (including at least one in-person or hybrid class) to maintain status. Students may enroll in a maximum of 9 units in each Summer and Winter session (optional). If you enroll in Summer or Winter session, SEVIS fee will be charged by the LACCD.
