Individual Tutoring

Our peer writing coaches work with student writers at every stage of the writing process. Whether you’re just getting started, formatting citations, drafting, or revising, we can help. Here are the types of tutoring appointments we offer:

In-Person Appointments

In-Person appointments are held in the Cesar Chavez Administration Building, AD-100. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment in order to check in.

Online Zoom Appointments

Online appointments are virtual appointments, and you must be present online for your appointment. You will meet in real-time, virtually with your consultant on Zoom. Your tutor’s Zoom link will be emailed to you and also will be available on the session window in Penji

Paper Drop-Off

For paper drop-off appointments, you do not need to be present at your appointment time. Your tutor will read a draft of your essay and provide feedback. Submit your essay draft and assignment instructions through your session chatroom in Penji. Ignore the pop-up and emails you will receive with a link to join a session (you will not need to join a session).

Your draft must be 250 words minimum in order for a tutor to provide feedback. If your draft is less than 250 words, your appointment will be cancelled. If you are an FYE student, you will receive one hour of credit for a paper drop-off appointment.
