Biographical Statement:

My name is April L. Pavlik, PsyD. I have been teaching classes here at LACC since 2003. I was hired as full time staff in January of 2010. I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BA in Psychology. I then matriculated to John F Kennedy University in Northern California where I went on to achieve a Masters in Sports Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I moved to Los Angeles when I was accepted to complete my internship and post doctoral training at City of Hope National Medical Center where I was a psychologist working with cancer patients and their families from diagnosis through survivorship. I also worked with those who were approaching the end of their lives. I have taught General, Personality, Abnormal, Lifespan, and Group Process Psychology. I am also involved in Academic Senate and am actively involved on campus to help students at LACC achieve their goals.
