The LACC Mathematics Program offers courses ranging from Arithmetic to Ordinary Differential Equations. Classes are offered in various formats six days a week, from 8am through 10pm, during two 15-week semesters (Fall/ Spring), one 5-week Winter session, and several Summer sessions.

The Mathematics Program employs 15 full-time faculty members and 42 adjunct faculty members along with support staff. A tutoring lab (Pi Shoppe, FH 104) and a computer lab (FH 106) are available for student support. Many of our math classes are offered using MyMathLab and Aleks, both of which are technology-based instructional delivery systems.

Other opportunities include math scholarships that are awarded each year, a nationally-ranked Math Club that meets on Fridays, and student employment in our tutoring and computer labs. The department also holds an annual Math Contest for junior and senior high school students every spring.
