Mammography Program
The Los Angeles City College’s Radiologic Technology Program is launching a new Mammography Program through LACC Extension. The Mammography Program is designed to provide current Radiologic Technology students and licensed Radiologic Technologists* with the education and training required to be eligible for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam.

The Mammography Program satisfies the following requirements:
FDA’s Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) – 40 hours of initial training in mammography, 25 mammography examinations under the supervision of an MQSA-qualified individual.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – 16 hours of structured education activities in addition to earning the 40 hours of didactic education required by MQSA. 75 mammography exams (screening/diagnostic) additional to the 25 mammograms required by MQSA.
California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH RHB) Mammography licensure and permit for state requirement.
American College of Radiology (ACR) – Our affiliated clinical facilities are accredited through this governing body.
