Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA)
MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) at LACC is a community for new and continuing STEM students. The program offers STEM Tutoring, Counseling, Transfer Support, Career Exploration in the STEM pathway, and access to STEM internships and research opportunities.
MESA Program goals are the following:
- Increase the number and percentage of underrepresented and/or low-income students attaining certificates and degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM);
- Increase the number and percentage of underrepresented and/or low income students who complete a certificate and/or degree in STEM within two years; and
- Increase the number and percentage of underrepresented and/or low-income students transferring to baccalaureate programs in STEM.
MESA Eligibility
- Demonstrated financial need
- Pursuing a calculus-based STEM transfer major
- Intent to transfer to 4-year university
- First-generation college student

Greetings! I am a first generation Filipinx with BA degrees in Psychology & Education and an MA in Education, Organization and Leadership. I am a dedicated, student-centered educator with strong ties and connections to the city of Los Angeles. As an LA native, I am deeply honored to serve the students of LACC. You can find me snacking in my office (LACC MESA - Life Science 206), rushing to my next meeting , getting boba/tacos, or walking my dog :)

Grace lives and grew up in Boyle Heights. You can come see her for financial aid, career, and academic counseling. When she is not at LACC you can find Grace foraging for mushrooms in the woods, thrifting, or trying to find ways to reduce her
use of single use plastics.
