Academic Counseling

Courses & Equivalencies

Please keep in mind that our repository of courses can be modified or updated from time to time. It does not replace proper academic advising. The TES database is an internal tool that may be used by LACC counselors, faculty, and the Articulation Officer. TES provides faculty guidance on how to appropriately apply credits and course pass-alongs, primarily for GE and competency purposes. Substitution of coursework required to meet any general education and graduation competency requirements is solely at the discretion of the Counseling faculty or Articulation Officer.  Major course substitutions for ADTs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis through the student course substitution petitions which are reviewed by the Articulation Officer in consultation with discipline faculty as needed. Depending on the nature of ADT course substitutions being requested, TES may or may not be used by the Articulation Officer to evaluate ADT course substitution petitions.
