Golden Spatula Award & 2018 Graduation Ceremony
December 13, 2018, 10 seniors graduated as Recognized Graduates with a Certificate in Dental Prosthetic Technology. They completed a total of 64.5 units.
The Golden Spatula is an Award granted by the Dental Prosthetic Technology Department to a student that demonstrates:
Excellence in class work.
- Service to class and department.
- Potential for success in the dental industry
Mool Kyul Jang was selected as the 2018 Golden Spatula Award recipient. Mool Kyul is currently continuing his education, completing the requirements for an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Prosthetic Technology and working part-time in a Dental Laboratory.
About Dental Technology at LACC:


The LACC Dental Prosthetic Technology program has educated and prepared over 1,400 students for a dental prosthetic technology profession since 1965.
The students that successfully complete all the required Dental Prosthetic Technology program course work are eligible to sit for the Recognized Graduate (RG) Certified Dental Technologist Exam given by the National Board of Certification in Dental Technology.
By successfully completing all course requirements, students can earn both a certificate of Achievement and an AS degree in Dental Prosthetic Technology.
About The Author
Minhoon is originally from South Korea and is majoring in Dental Technology at LACC. He likes to listen to music, draw, and watch movies during his free time. His favorite part of Dental Technology is that he gets to make appliances that will change someone's weakness in oral cavity to an advantage.
