News and Events for the week of June 28

Good Monday Morning, 

Just a quick note out to all of you. I am out for much of this week. Next Monday, July 5, campus will be closed for the July 4 holiday. Please enjoy the three-day weekend.  

Summer Enrollment

Our enrollment remains strong for summer. Please remind your students that they can enroll for summer and fall classes. Summer B session begins in three weeks.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

We just concluded our month long free COVID-19 vaccination clinics. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped to provide vaccinations to our community. 

LACC Celebrates Pride Month

Last Thursday we hosted a “Show Your Pride” photo day on our beautiful Rainbow Track. Thank you to everyone who showed up and posted on social media. We also held a “With You in Pride” discussion and a “Pride in Color” panel last Friday. Thank you to everyone who helped plan these insightful events.  

Student Workshop

This Tuesday, June 29, Our Life Skills Center is offering a  “Becoming a Successful Student” workshop focusing on scheduling, organizing and study habits. Students can join the zoom at 12:30 pm at 929 3680 5171. For more information or questions, please contact Joe Exnowski at 323.953.400 or  

Free COVID-19 Vaccinations at McDonald’s

McDonald’s is partnering with the California Department of Public Health to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations at more than 70 locations. Those that get vaccinated will receive a coupon for one free menu item.  

Employee Picnic

We have reserved Crystal Springs in Griffith Park for our summer picnic on August 12. More news to come on our summer celebration.
