TIES - Teen Innovation and Entrepreneurial Summer Program

Last Friday, students from LAUSD’s Linked Learning summer bridge programs at Gardena High School, Los Angeles Middle School, Sutter Middle School, Daniel Webster Middle School and Venice High School came together on our campus to present their business start-up plans to a panel of judges. The Teen Innovation and Entrepreneurial Summer (TIES) program enabled students to identify business challenges and develop products and services as solutions. It was a wonderful event, and we were proud to host these enterprising students. Media coverage of the event will be posted on our website soon.

Summer Animation Bootcamp

Next week we will conclude a summer bootcamp on animation we have held for our local high school students. There are 48 students from various high schools in our area who have participated in this program, and I understand their work is amazing. I will see their final projects next week and I can’t wait! Thank you to Professor Khana for making this great opportunity happen for our community of artists.

Have a great week!
