News and Events for the week of April 8

Good Monday Morning:

Welcome back from Spring Break. There were 11 days with no classes. I hope you all enjoyed a restful and relaxing time. We are jumping back into the Spring Semester, and late term classes starts today. We still have space in classes, so if any of your students are looking for a class, please send them to the Welcome Center.

We had an amazing event here on Saturday. LAUSD held their combined Arts Festival and Parents Summit to about 3,000 people (students and their families). It was amazing to see the talent and the interests of all the young people. Thanks to all who helped, especially the leadership of Dean Carol Kozeracki, Dean Armineh Dereghishian, and Career Faculty Julianna Medina; the Welcome Center Staff, the TRIO Staff, and the Facilities crew. A wonderful event!

For Faculty and Staff: Town Hall Today (Monday 4/8) at 12:30 in the Student Union 3rd Floor

I want to take some time today to update you on several main items:

  • Student Basic Needs
