Program’s Mission Statement:
The mission of the Veterans Program is to provide military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education.
The Veterans Program promotes an attitude of collaboration within the campus and surrounding community to increase awareness and sensitivity to issues concerning veterans. The goal of the program is to create an encouraging environment by acknowledging, honoring, and addressing veterans’ unique needs, while helping them attaining their educational goals.
Program’s Learning Outcomes
The student will:
1. Discover campus and community resources available to veterans;
2. Demonstrate social responsibility through participation in Veterans Club activities;
3. Demonstrate self-advocacy skills.

VETSUCCESS ON CAMPUS (VSOC)
LACC participates in the VSOC program. The VSOC program aims to help student Veterans and their qualified dependents succeed and thrive through a coordinated delivery of on-campus benefits assistance and counseling leading to completion of their education and preparing them to enter the labor market in viable careers.

1: Certificate of Eligibility Letter. This is sent to your mailing address after you have applied for your VA educational benefits online at: www.ebenefits.va.gov
2: A copy of your Educational Plan. You can obtain this by meeting with the Veterans Educational Counselor at LACC's VRC
3: Registration Receipt. This can be picked up at the Business Office after you have registered for classes *PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MAY STILL OWE FEES AFTER CERTIFICATION*
5: Copy of your DD214. If you are a dependent or spouse, we will not need this information.
