Program’s Mission Statement:
The mission of the Veterans Program is to provide military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education.
Program’s Description:
The Veterans Program promotes an attitude of collaboration within the campus and surrounding community to increase awareness and sensitivity to issues concerning veterans. The goal of the program is to create an encouraging environment by acknowledging, honoring, and addressing veterans’ unique needs, while helping them attaining their educational goals.
Program’s Learning OutcomesThe student will:
- Discover campus and community resources available to veterans.
- Demonstrate social responsibility through participation in Veterans Club activities.
- Demonstrate self-advocacy skills.

Step 1: Complete the LACC college application. Step 2: Schedule an appointment to take the math and English Step 3: Attend a college orientation and meet with an academic counselor to develop a Student Educational Plan. Step 4: Visit the Veterans On-Line Application (VONAPP) site to apply for benefits. Step 5: Complete a VA Contract and submit to the Veterans' Affairs Office.
