Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) - Is a state-funded support program designed to provide academic support, financial assistance and encouragement for eligible -- educationally disadvantaged students.  Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) Program - Is a program for EOPS students who are single parent students receiving CalWORKs/cash aid and have child(ren) under the age of 14.  The aim of CARE is to assist single parents receiving CalWORKs to increase their educational skills, enhance their employability, become more confident and self-sufficient, encourage success and the transition from cash aid to financial independence. Guardian Scholars- Designed to support current and former foster care participants and joins together with additional support services on campus. Assists with the admissions; assessment, educational planning and Personal Development classes are just a sample of help provided to students. For more information call (323) 953-4000 ext. 2236

Office of Special Services (OSS) - Is dedicated to facilitating equal access for students with disabilities allowing full participation in educational programs, services and campus activities through appropriate and reasonable accommodations.  For more information call (323) 953-4000 ext. 2270

University Transfer Center -  Provides information and assistance to LACC students wishing to transfer to 4-year colleges and universities.  For more information call (323) 343-4000 ext. 2215
Student Supportive Services/TRIO- A federally funded grant program through the U.S. Department of Education, targeting the low income, first generation, or disabled students population who have identified transfer to a four-year university as their academic goal. Assessment Center- Assessment is a skills evaluation in reading, writing and math to help you select the appropriate courses. Students with degrees usually may waive assessment.For more information call (323) 953-4000 ext. 2264

Health center- The Health & Wellness Center serves currently enrolled students and provides basic and non-emergency care, health care counseling, emotional and behavioral counseling, family planning, and more. For more information call (323) 953-4000 ext. 2485

FastWeb: is the most comprehensive site for scholarship information. It takes about an hour and allows you to save the information that you entered. The sponsor e-mails you every time it adds a new scholarship to your file.
