The following is a list of important financial aid dates to know at Los Angeles City College:

The new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the next academic year becomes available


Fall Semester Begins

March 2, 2013   Applicants must file their FAFSA and GPA form by this date to be considered for Cal Grant (state grant) eligibility

May 1, 2013

  Priority date for the upcoming academic year - applicants who submit the required documents to the Financial Aid Office for processing by this date will most likely receive their aid at the beginning of the Fall semester

   June 1, 2013 

   Priority date for being considered for campus based aid for the upcoming academic year - applicants whose files are completed by this date may be considered for Federal FWS and Federal SEOG
June 3, 2014   The Financial Aid Office must receive the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) from the Department of Education with an official Expected Family Contribution (EFC) calculated by the Central Processor for students whose final semester of attendance is spring 2014.
September 2   Second chance deadline date for students who plan to attend Los Angeles City College in Fall 2013 to apply for a limited number of Cal Grant Competitive Awards (state grant)
