Dr. Judy C. Miner began work in July 2007 as president of Foothill College, which serves about 19,000 students throughout Silicon Valley. She has chosen "Excellence Through Inclusion" as the vision for her presidency. An administrator with the Foothill-De Anza Community College District since 1988, she oversaw both instructional and student support services at De Anza College, serving most recently as vice president of instruction. Judy has worked as a provost, dean and registrar at two- and four-year colleges and universities, and in the California Community Colleges' Chancellor's Office, where she coordinated the Transfer Center Pilot Program and oversaw implementation of matriculation requirements pursuant to AB3. Judy has an Ed.D. in organization and leadership from the University of San Francisco and an M.A. in history and a B.A. in history and French from Lone Mountain College in San Francisco. She is a passionate and eclectic reader and an avid fan of opera and travel, particularly when they occur in combination. |
