1. What is the schedule once you enter the Radiologic Technology Program?
Once accepted into the program the students schedule is set by the program. The hours will vary but expect to come to school full time which means classes will occur during the day and evening. Keep in mind that this is a full time program so it is difficult to work and complete the program at the same time.
2. I completed courses in a foreign country. Will I receive credits for my foreign class work?
Yes. We recommend you have your foreign transcripts evaluated by a certified credential evaluation service. In order to receive credit, the credential evaluation service will need to mail your official transcripts to the Graduation Unit. Los Angles City College may give you up to but not more than 15 electives credits toward your AA degree. If you are going to use foreign class work to fulfill a graduation requirement, you need to fill out a general petition.
3. When do I complete the prerequisite courses for the radiology program?
The prequisite courses must be completed in order for you to be an eligible participant in the lottery selection process. You can have in progress courses but all prerequisites must be complete by the end of the spring semester for the year you are applying for entry into the program (Example: Spring 2012 semester for Fall 2012 Program).
4. I took courses in High School do they count towards the prerequisites requirements?
High school classes are not accepted. If you took and passed an AP examination please speak with an LACC counselor to obtain more information for college credit.
