We offer courses ranging from Arithmetic to Ordinary Differential Equations. Classes are offered in various formats six days a week, from 6:40 am through to 10:00 pm, during two 15-week semesters (Fall/ Spring), one 5-week Winter session, and several Summer sessions.
Our department employs 17 full-time faculty members and 42 adjunct faculty members along with support staff. A tutoring lab (Pi Shop) and a computer lab are available for student support. In our Math 135, students are able to learn Mathematica and Maple software programs. We are involved in projects funded by the U.S. Dept. of Education Minority Sciences and Engineering Improvement Program. Several of our math classes are offered using a technology based instructional delivery system.
Other opportunities include math scholarships that are awarded each year, a nationally ranked math club that meets on Fridays, and student employment in our tutoring and computer labs. The department also holds an annual math contest for junior and senior high school students every spring.
