IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DEGREE

If you already completed college course work or have a degree that is not in dietetics and are interested in becoming a dietetic technician, registered you should have your college transcript evaluated by the Director of the Los Angeles City College Dietetic Technician Program.

The program director will evaluate your previous academic preparation and identify the courses you would need to complete to meet the requirements for taking the registration exam for dietetic technicians.

If you have a degree from a college outside the United States, your foreign transcripts must be evaluated, at your expense, by the following agency:

Students who plan to transfer to a four-year Dietetics Program immediately after completing an Associate’s degree should major in Liberal Studies.
