This is an introductory course to explore the duties and responsibilities of a civil litigation secretary. There will be an overview of the American legal system, including the federal and California state court systems. HANDLERS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The California Health and Safety Code and L.A. County Code/Ordinance 97-0071, requires mandatory Food Handler certification for managers/operators and/or other responsible parties of all restaurants, markets, mobile food preparation units, commissaries and food processing establishments. One certified food handler is required to be present during all hours of operation. This ordinance went into effect January 1999. Now is the time to get certified to protect your business and profession as a food service provider. It's not too late! L.A. County mandated exam, study sheets and textbook classes are offered for a total of 8 hours each and approved by the American Culinary Federation and L.A. County Health Department. Fashion Pattern Adjustment Techniques

Now that you are familiar with the sewing machine operation, learn how to alter the pattern for a custom fit! Don?t lose your passion for sewing! Learn pattern adjustment techniques: how to enlarge a pattern for a large bust or reduce it for a small bust; how to shorten or lengthen pants? crotch and how to make other pattern alterations. MAKING GLASS BEADS
Two great reasons to make your own glass beads: First, the simplest bead in bead stores costs a lot of money. Second, it?s very easy to create one-of-a-kind designs that are all yours! You?ll heat glass to a molten state and fashion it around rods to create beads/buttons for jewelry, clothing and random wire votives, stained glass windows, mosaics and whatever else you can dream up. All tools and materials are supplied for the class to make at least five glass beads, including round, flat, tabular and bi-conal. Tennis instruction for adults. Learn or review the basics: the proper grips, the forehand, the backhand, the serve, tennis rules and court etiquette. Intermediate students should have prior knowledge of the basic strokes and rules they will focus upon. Improve ground strokes, serving and net play. Advanced class by permission of instructor. ICE SKATING FOR TEENS AND ADULTS
An introduction to the coolest sport - ice-skating. Learn how to skate, turn and maintain your balance on the ice. All equipment provided by instructor. Enrollment is limited to 10 students.
