C-BEST PREPARATION
(Basic Education Skills Test)
Raise the level of your teaching skills and become eligible for a salaried position in both private and public school systems. C-BEST verification qualifies you to receive an emergency teaching credential, work as a substitute teacher, or re-enter the school system if you are a teacher who has been inactive (it’s a lifetime license) and a state requirement for newly credentialed teachers. Learn about the exam’s “personality,” including its tricks and pitfalls and pick up tips on the best strategies for passing the exam and enhancing your professional teaching career. Next C-BEST test dates: April 10. Cost of C-BEST book is $10 payable in class.

G.E.D. PREPARATION WORKSHOP
This class is designed to prepare students for the five tests incorporated in the General Education Development (G.E.D.) examination. Each of the five subject areas (Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies and Writing) will be reviewed and presented. Emphasis will be placed on the content and nature of the exam. The student will be able to develop and augment the skills necessary to complete all requirements for the G.E.D. exam and will demonstrate his/her ability by passing a series of practice exams with a score of 80% or higher. Cost of GED book is $20 payable to instructor in class.
