FINAL CUT PRO: THE CUTTING EDGE
Version 3.0 - TUTORIAL
This course introduces students to Final Cut Pro, a post production "studio-in-a-box" that provides artists the tools to quickly and effectively batch, capture, edit and produce top-notch videos. Beginning with the basics of using the Viewer and Canvas toolbars, then moving on to creating and organizing bins, students hone their editing skills by learning L cuts and manipulating the audio and visual timelines. After mastering the fundamentals of the interface, students learn how to import files to add innovative QuickTime transitions and create videos for output, to the most appropriate medium, including web streaming. This class will teach television production techniques used to create a weekly web TV series, a single web TV show, or create music videos for television and the web. Topics include: Learn the basic steps to build a website for your work, build your own video channel on Youtube, Blip tv, Vimeo, Myspace, or other video sharing sites and then link them to your website, build a video studio on any budget, learn to edit like a pro with Imovie, learn computer animation, for beginner and up, work with audio, adding soundtracks and sound effects.
