 The Business /CAOT Department is pleased to announce that Los Angeles City College is now a testing center. Microsoft certification exams will be available to students and district employees. Microsoft certifications will add value and credibility to their resumes.
Students and employees will pay for the test directly at the Certiport site. The test can be for any Microsoft user specialist’s exam.

Check the Certiport site for current test pricing. There are several exam options to choose from. In additon to the test price, there is an administrative testing site fee that is to be paid at our campus Business Office prior to your exam. The best results for the Microsoft test occur when the participants are able to take the pretest to learn the testing environment. Additionally, the pretest feature has tutorial capability allowing students to review material they have not yet mastered. You should score at least 90 % on the pretest before taking the official Microsoft exam.
Microsoft certification is an exciting opportunity for our students, faculty and staff. The testing is available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 – 9:00 am or 9:30 – 11:00 am, Tuesday and Thursday from 1:15 to 2:15 pm. Friday 8:00 – 9:00 am. You must call ahead to schedule an appointment.
A benefit for all Unit I employees who successfully completed Microsoft Office User Specialist (“MOUS”) certification, will receive a differential of $75.00 per pay period upon certification to the District.
The Microsoft Office User Specialist (“MOUS”) certification is valid for three years from the date of issuance.
