MANAGEMENT

Associate of Arts Degree & Certificate:
The certificate program is designed for students planning to go into business for themselves or those wishing to advance within an organization. The Associate of Arts degree provides more comprehensive preparation for a career in business and prepares a students to transfer to a four year university as a Junior.

BUSINESS OFFICE ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE

Like the Small Business track this option also provides the core skills described under general management. Additionally, the Business Office track offers courses in the various functions of office service to prepare students for careers in middle management and the supervision of office personnel.

Associate in Arts:

Accounting, Advertising, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Business Law (See “Law”), Finance & Banking, Management, Business Offices Management , Small Businesses Management, Marketing and Real Estate.

Certificates:

Accounting Technician, Automated Accounting, Business Administration, Business Micro-Computer Application, Finance & Banking, Management, Management, Small Business, Management, Retail, Marketing, Real Estate, Real Estate - Finance Specialization, Real Estate - Investment  Specialization, and Real Estate - Marketing Specialization.

Enrollment Fee Increase:

The enrollment fee was increased to $20 per unit effective in the Fall 2003 semester.   The Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGFW) program waives the enrollment and health fees of students who meet program eligibility criteria.  Interested students are encouraged to apply by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver application. 

Los Angeles City College offers university transferable, career, credit and not-for-credit courses on its main campus. Courses include the arts, basic and advanced mathematics and English, computer science and technology, business, science, social sciences, language and more. Courses are offered weekdays, day and evenings, on Saturdays and Online.
