Our Finance & Banking Program is designed to provide students with basic bookkeeping skills enabling them to become employed in positions such as:

  • Bookkeeper
  • Bank teller
  • Payroll clerk
  • Accounts payable clerk


The typical salary range for these positions is from approximately $25,000 - $34, 000 per year with ample opportunities to advance.


Note: In addition to meeting the general college admission requirements, students must show a satisfactory aptitude for financial services to be admitted to the Finance & Banking program. Aptitude is measured by appropriate tests and interviews administered by the College Counseling Department.

Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration,Finance & Banking, Management, Marketing and Real Estate.


Automated Accounting Technician, Business Administration,  Finance & Banking, Management, Retail Management, Small Business Management,  Marketing, Real Estate - Finance Specialization, Real Estate - Investment  Specialization, and Real Estate - Marketing Specialization.

The Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGFW) program waives the enrollment and health fees of students who meet program eligibility criteria.  Interested students are encouraged to apply by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver application. 

Los Angeles City College offers university transferable, career, credit and not-for-credit courses on its main campus. Courses include the arts, basic and advanced mathematics and English, computer science and technology, business, science, social sciences, language and more. Courses are offered weekdays, day and evenings, on Saturdays and Online.
