The Writers' Room
Do you need some dedicated time to work on an essay or any other piece of writing? Do you need to block out distractions so you can write? Join us in the Writers' Room! The Writers' Room provides you with time and space to write (online or in-person), facilitated and inspired by a Writing Support Center peer tutor. You can drop in at your convenience and stay as long as you like. Tutors are available to answer questions and provide brief assistance with grammar and writing issues.
How do I join the Writers' Room?
You can drop in and join the Writers' Room online or in-person anytime during our open hours. Register or log into Penji and select “Drop in or join the Writers' Room,” to drop in and get started, or just click the button below. No appointment is needed! Drop in anytime!
Can I get FYE or course credit for visiting the Writers' Room?
Yes! To receive FYE credit or any course credit your instructor is providing, you must meet the following requirements: participate in a brief quick-write, be able to share your screen, and work productively for a minimum of 30 minutes. Drop into the Writers' Room today!
