LACC Computer - Advance Purchase Program (LACC-CAPP)
The purpose of the LACC Computer Advance Purchase Program LACC-CAPP is to provide short-term, interest free loans to students who are attending Los Angeles City College so that they may obtain a basic computer/laptop to complete their courses.
The deadline for Fall 2020 applications has passed.
Students will be notified via e-mail when the advance has been approved. Notification will occur within 5 business days of receipt of a completed application.
Who is Eligible to Apply for the Computer Advance Purchase Program?
- Open to all students enrolled in 3 units or more at LACC and in good academic standing.
- Students who have recently filed their FAFSA form are eligible.
- Students who are not eligible for government funding sources or for other program funding at LACC may be eligible for a computer/laptop scholarship.
Students are approved for the Advance Purchase Program based on a combination of factors that include but are not limited to:
- Need and eligibility.
- Date the completed LACC-CAPP application is submitted.
The LACC-CAPP requires repayment of the advanced funds.
While the LACC-CAPP requires a repayment of the advanced funds (unless you receive a scholarship for computer/laptop), the College fully anticipates that you will actively seek opportunities to pay for our course materials from sources for which you qualify. These sources include the following:
State and Federal Sources (Cal-Grants and Pell Grants)
To be eligible for funding from government sources you must complete a FAFSA application and apply to these programs:
