The following resources available to registered students at LACC:

Are you Homeless?

  • Visit the Office of Student Life – Student Union Bldg. 2nd Floor
  • We hope to have in place by March 2019 for students living in their vehicles to have a designated safe area to park on campus
  • Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority: LAHSA Shelter Program
  • ASG ‘Cubby’s Closet': The Associated Student Government provides students with clothes and shoes as well as some clothes for children and hygiene supplies at any time during the week on the second floor of the Student Union building.

  • Housing Navigator: There are biweekly visits for students available in the Genderversity Center.

  • Foster and Kinship Care: The office on the third floor of the Student Services building offers support with housing and supplies.

  • Showers: Students can use the showers in the Kinesiology Building Monday - Thursday, 8:00-10:00 am, and Friday, 10 am -12 pm. Students need to bring their own toiletries and towels. For hygiene supplies visit ASG Cubby’s Closet.

Are you hungry and struggling to put food on your table?

* You do not need to be homeless to need assistance

  • Food For Thought: Starting this Spring 2019 semester the Pop-up Food Bank returns: M/Th 11am – 1pm
  • ASG ‘Cubby’s Closet’: Students can stop by the ASG office for canned and dried goods at any time during the week.

  • Volunteers of America offers free Gas and food voucher cards
  • Apply for an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card

Need help with textbooks or supplies?

  • LACC Foundation: Students can apply for book vouchers, as well as scholarships, on the third floor of the Student Union building.
  • EOPS: Eligible students can qualify for backpacks, supplies, and vouchers. Located on the second floor of the Student Services Building, Monday-Friday. Extended Opportunity Program & Services
  • CalWORKs: Eligible students can receive assistance with book vouchers and supplies at the campus bookstore Monday-Friday. California Work Opportunities and Responsibility for Kids

Need help with child care?

  • Child services are available at the Child Development Center, even if you are homeless. Your child(ren) does NOT need to be potty trained. Services are available 7:50am – 4pm M-TH, 8am-12:30pm Fridays

Additional Health and Wellness Resources:

  • Free Legal Support: There is free legal support available for Dreamer’s. Please check with the Dream Resource Center in the Women’s South Gym for details.
  • Los Angeles LGBT Center: Biweekly visits from individuals working at the center to offer support and assistance to the students in the Genderversity Center.
  • Break it to Make it: This program is available for students who have been formerly incarcerated in integrating back into the community and focusing on academic support. The Break it to Make it offices are located on the second floor of the Student Union building.
