Welcome to my website!

The Current Courses tab on the left lists the courses I teach, primarily ESL writing and reading, as well as Introduction to Linguistics (LING 1), Sociolinguistics (LING 2), and Psycholinguistics (LING 3).

Teaching and Faculty Service describes my teaching experience and academic service for the Los Angeles Community College District, including the redesign of the districtwide ESL curriculum and the development and adoption of new courses at LACC.

The site’s Research Activities section lists publications and presentations. Most recently, they include a book chapter  on critical ethnography in a Routledge volume on critical theory in applied linguistics, a guest blog post about engaging bilingual and ESL studenst in creative writing, a report on AWP 2020, a fall 2019 NSF-AGEP funded guest lecture at UC Santa Barbara on teachng linguistics in community colleges, and a video about my participation in the development of new undegraduate curriculum at UCLA as an Andrew W.
