LACC Women’s History Month Event
Emerging Scholars: LACC Students’ RBS Research Presentations
Please join us to support three of our amazing Ralph Bunche Scholars as they share the research they have done in their honors classes on topics that tie in with Women’s History Month. Each of them has been invited to present their work at the annual Honors Transfer Council of California Honors Conference at UCI this month.
Their research addresses a range of diverse literary, historical, and artistic topics:
Breanna Barton-Shaw: “The Permanent Impermanence of ‘The Tale of Genji’ – Reflected Influence of Heian Period Aesthetic in Modern Japanese Literature.”
Sarah Elizabeth Ragsdale: “Christine De Pizan’s Foundation for Women Writers”
Tara Timberman: “The Queen’s Domain in Mesopotamia: How a Mysterious Ancient Artifact Illuminates Women’s Roles in a Changing World”
Take advantage of this opportunity to show your pride in our students and their academic accomplishments!!
