Artist Lecture Series: Deb Klowden Mann

LACC's Visual & Media Arts Department presents the fifteenth installment of their Artist Lecture Series!

6:00pm - 7:30pm

Deb Klowden Mann is the owner of Klowden Mann gallery, located in LA’s Culver City arts district. The gallery opened in 2010, with a commitment to focusing on Los Angeles artists. Since that time, the gallery has exhibited at numerous international art fairs, including Zona Maco in Mexico City, Expo Chicago, Art021 in Shanghai, and UNTITLED Miami Beach. Gallery artists include Alexandra Wiesenfeld, Rodrigo Valenzuela, Andrea Chung, Bettina Hubby, Katie Herzog, Rebecca Farr, David Lloyd, Christine Frerichs, Jamison Carter and many others. Before opening the gallery, Klowden Mann was the co-founder and co-editor of No: a journal of the arts in New York, along with celebrated writer Ben Lerner. She is currently on the board of Michelle Dorrance's New York-based dance company Dorrance Dance, and is an occasional co-host on The Conversation podcast with Michael Shaw. She lives in LA with her husband and two children, and is working on a book on endometriosis, chronic illness and feminism in the digital age of pre-apocolyptic enlightenment.
