Student Success & Support Program

Assessment Process

You will take a basic skills assessment in reading, writing, language usage, and mathematics to help you select appropriate courses. This is not an entrance exam to the college and you will not be penalized in any way for your score. However, it is a very important step in the enrollment process.

To take the ENL (English as a Native Language) only, English and Math test, or Math only test, students can take any of these tests during the drop in hours (see below). The first step is to check-in at the Assessment Office.

DROP IN HOURS for ENL, English and Math, and Math only tests.

Monday-Thursday: 10:30 am-5:30 pm

Friday: 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Please note:
4:30 pm is the latest students can drop by to test for the ENL+Math test Monday through Thursday.
5:30 pm is the latest students can drop by to test for the ENL or Math only tests Monday through Thursday.

The last test sitting will be 12 noon on Fridays. You must check-in by 12 noon on Fridays.

Please note that the online system will only allow you to sign up for the ESL (English as a Second Language) Test. You can also sign up for the ESL test at the Assessment Office.

For ESL ONLY, schedule an appointment online
