Dates to Know

The following is a list of important financial aid dates to know:

March 2 (every year)

Cal Grant: First deadline for applicants to file their FAFSA or Dream Application and GPA form to be considered for Cal Grant (state grant) eligibility.

April 26, 2024

Appeals: Deadline to submit 1st and 2nd level Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals for Spring 2024.

May 1 (every year)

Work Study: Priority deadline to complete a FAFSA for Federal Work-Study consideration. You must indicate interest in the Federal Work Study Program on your FAFSA.

May 3, 2024

Loans: Deadline to submit a student loan packet or any pending student loan items for Spring 2024

June 30 (every year)

Last day to submit an application for financial aid for the 2023-2024 academic year.

July 1 (every year)

Applicants who submit the required documents to the Financial Aid Office for processing by this date will most likely receive their aid at the beginning of the Fall semester.

August 9, 2022

Appeals: Deadline to submit 1st and 2nd level Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals for Summer 2024.
Loans: Deadline to submit a student loan packet or any pending student loan items for Summer 2024.

September 2 (every year)

Cal Grant: Second deadline for applicants to file their FAFSA or Dream Application and GPA form to be considered for Cal Grant (state grant) Competitive Awards (only for California Community Colleges)

October 1 (every year)

The new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA) for the next academic year becomes available.
