Receiving Faxes

  • The LACC Fax number is (323) 953-4013.
  • Make sure to ask the sender to clearly put your full name, extension and department on the fax.
  • Any faxes received for you will be forwarded as a PDF attachment to your LACC email.
    The subject will start with "Fax Received ..."

Sending a Fax

Faxes can be sent via email through Outlook. If you want to fax a document, send it as an email attachment. These attachments can be one of the following document types: Microsoft Office, PDF, JPG or TIF.

To send a fax:

  1. Create a new email message.
  2. In the TO field, type the 10-digit fax number of the recipient followed by No dashes, spaces, parenthesis, or other characters are needed.

  3. In the Subject field, type the recipient’s name and/or subject of your fax.
  4. The body of the email can be used to type any information you need to add. It can even be the only information you send. The information typed in the body of the email will be shown in the “Comments” section on the cover page.
  5. If you have a document to send, attach it to the email.
  6. Click Send.

You may expect an email notification showing the success or failure of a fax transmission. Please read the subject line of the notification carefully, as it specifies success or failure.

Sending Hard Copies as Faxes

To send a fax using a hard copy (printed or handwritten page), you will need to scan it to turn it into a computer document (PDF).
