Getting Started with Adobe Creative Suite
Begining with the 2019-year version of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe is requiring all users, including students, faculty and staff, to sign into their products with a free Adobe ID.
Creating an Adobe Account
Step 1:
When any Adobe product is launched, a Sign in window will appear.
Step 2:
If you already have an Adobe ID, enter your credentials and click Sign In, and you’re ready to use any Adobe product on the computer.
Don’t forget to log out when you are done.
If you don’t have an Adobe ID, follow the instructions below to create a free Adobe ID account.
Step 3:
If you don’t have an Adobe ID, click on Get an Adobe ID. You only have to do this once.
Step 4:
Fill out the short form and click Sign up.
This will be a separate password from any of your other District accounts.
We recommend using your school email address. (@laccd.edu, @lacitycollege.edu, @student.laccd.edu, etc.)
Your password needs to:
- Include at least one number or symbol.
- Include both lower- and upper-case Latin characters.
- Be at least 8 characters long.
Step 5:
You will need to verify your email address.
Step 6:
Check your email for a new message from Adobe, and click on the link provided to verify your email address.
Step 7:
Make sure you see the message that your email has been verified.
Step 8:
Return to the Adobe program you wanted to use, and click Check again and continue.
Logging Out of Your Adobe Account
Always Log Out of your Adobe Account before leaving or turning off a computer
To sign out of Adobe, go to the Help menu of any Adobe program and click Sign Out…
Follow the instructions on the screen.
