Programs

All LACC Biology and Anatomy classes are UC and CSU transferable.Students considering careers in health and medicine are required to take courses in the Biology/Anatomy discipline. Many health and allied health programs (e.g. Radiologic Technology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy) require Anatomy and Physiology. Some programs, Nursing for example, also require Microbiology. Students in non-health care related majors can also benefit from a grounding in these areas. Additionally, understanding basic biological principles can help you live a healthier life and better understand diseases, medical treatments, and medical breakthroughs.
