Weber’s work includes photography, sculpture, installations, film, video and performances. Her practice often centers around a mythical cast of human, animal and hybrid characters who live in a world that exists somewhere between fantasy and reality.

“We are thrilled to offer this rare opportunity to hear from and meet an artist as unique and brilliant as Marnie Weber,” said Dr. Mary Gallagher, President, Los Angeles City College. “This is a fantastic event for our students and the entire Los Angeles community to learn about and experience the work of one of our city’s greatest artists.”

Weber was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and grew up in Asia. She studied at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and received her B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles. She has had solo shows, video screenings, and performances throughout the United States and Europe.

The event is free and open to the public.
