Short Stories, Poems and Creative Non-Fiction on the theme of "Always Forward, Forward Always"

The Citadel is accepting submissions for fiction and non-fiction prose and poetry. Each piece should focus on a sense of progression or movement toward the future. Genre is unimportant, whether speculative fiction, Science-Fiction, political/personal essay, or surrealist poetry. So long as each piece looks toward a distant horizon, whether in mind, body, or spirit, we welcome the chance to hear your voice.

"Dreams are the touchstones of our character." -Henry David Thoreau

One of the most revolutionary acts that the disenfranchised can do is dream. Dream of a better world, a better self, a better community. Dream. Dream because dreams become the goal, and the goal illuminates the path, and then people walk the path. To dream is to be
human, and these dreams must be articulated so that all dreamers know that they are not alone in their pursuits. Always Forward. Forward Always.

Deadline Extended!
Deadline for Submissions: June 15, 2018

Submissions are open to the public. The $10.00 fee for submissions is waived for all currently enrolled students.
