Film Screening - Seeing is Believing: Women Direct

The Cinema & TV department will host a screening of the feature documentary Seeing is Believing: Women Direct by Cady McClain, followed by a panel discussion with women filmmakers, moderated by Women In Media's Tema Staig.

Poster for Seeing is Believing - Women DirectEmmy Winning actress, director & producer Cady McClain is happy to be sharing the new 84-minute version of her feature film Seeing is Believing: Women Direct with the LACC community. It’s previous hour-long version won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the SOHO Film Festival 2017, and it’s first incarnation of a 28-minute short won a Best Doc Award at four festivals including the Newport Beach Film Festival. Seeing is Believing: Women Direct will be premiering at the Heartland Film Festival in October. 

Other Cady McClain credits include “Venice, the Series” (Emmy noms 2017/2018), “Switch” with Olympia Dukakis, and five short films including the recent “Butterflies” (Best Short Film/Best Actress in a Short Film Philadelphia Independent Film Festival).

The screening will be held in the LACC Cinema/TV Theater (CC 176)
