Mario teaches ballet, body conditioning and dance history. He trained at the School of American Ballet, the official school of the New York City Ballet. He trained privately with instructors: Christina Bernal, Maggie Black, Edward Caton, Léonide Massine, Melissa Hayden and David Howard. He has danced with prestigious ballet companies and on Broadway with Rudolf Nureyev. He is a Fulbright Scholar, in conjunction with the Royal Danish Ballet and the University of Copenhagen. His teaching experience includes Royal Danish Ballet, Culberg Ballet, Ballet Academy of Stockholm, New Danish Dance Theatre, UC, Riverside, Cal State Long Beach. Mario was the subject of a television documentary "Turning Point, City of Angels Ballet", featured in the book "Unselfish, Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Selfie" and on CBS, Sunday Morning. He created the City of Angels Ballet (CAB) an afterschool ballet academy for youth from underserved communities throughout Los Angeles. CAB has educated over 50,000 children in the fine performing arts, doing community outreach, lecture demonstrations, career day opportunities and after school ballet classes at no cost to the children. Mario has staged full length ballets in Southern California.
